Have you been searching for the best car seat for your little one? The choices are broad out there in car seat land, and it can be very confusing at times so let me make a recommendation to you.
Britax Roundabout 55 Convertible Britax is the leading company when it comes to the issue of safety in childrens car seats. They make a number of different models that you can choose from, all of which are excellent choices. One of their outstanding models is a model called the Britax Roundabout 55 Convertible, one of their lesser expensive units but still an outstanding performer in terms of safety.
Remember, safety is the most important factor when it comes to choosing a car seat for your child. You can scrimp and save on socks and clothes but do not scrimp on a lesser quality car seat that is there to protect your youngster from harm.

All of the Britax Convertible car seats are built with integrated steel bars that strengthen the connection to your vehicle, and reduce the chances of injury to your child by preventing the seat from flexing, torquing and bending out of shape during an impact. Their safe cell technology uses a honeycomb like core that is designed to compress in a crash, absorbing a lot of the energy and protecting your child. Bottom line is that the Britax Roundabout 55 Convertible is an excellent car seat for the money that offers you a lot of protection. They even have a sticker attached to each seat with an expiry date letting you know at what point the seat does not meet their safety guidelines. The materials used in the construction of the car seat may not be safe any more past that point.
Britax does make a number of other models including the highly praised Advocate 70 CS Convertible and the Boulevard 70 CS Convertible. If your vehicle is a smaller one, then I suggest that you stick with the Roundabout 55 as it will be easier to work with. If you are driving a larger vehicle or an SUV, you may want to consider the Advocate 70 CS or the Boulevard 70 CS as well. Whatever you decide to do, do not be tempted to buy a second hand car seat from someone. You will never know whether it has been a car accident or not. Even a minor fender bender may have caused some damage. You would be unaware of any damage that could render the car seats unsafe. It is hard to spot damage with just your naked eyes.
Let Me Show You What Current Owners Have To Say About It
From Jamie: I love this car seat. I read a lot of reviews and decided to go for the Britax Roundabout for its awesome safety features and relatively affordable price. I don’t mind spending a little more for a product I am confident will save my child’s life in the event of a bad car accident. It was SO easy to install with the LATCH system in our ’08 Honda Civic. We still have our son rear-facing as he is only 10 months old. We chose to use the upper LATCH tether too for added stability, so it’s a little tricky to get him into the car seat by maneuvering him either under or over the strap (we usually go under), but I think it’s worth the extra peace of mind. He rides in the center position in the back seat and we can still see through our back window and check our blind spots without difficulty. I love the velcro that helps keep the straps out of the way when I’m putting him in the seat. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase and I know we’ll be using this seat for years to come!
